In this episode of the GamblingCast, host Peyton Grant interviews Nicole Osmond, a former casino employee who shares her experience of witnessing strategies in the casino. Nicole talks about working at a number of casinos when she was between the ages of 22 to 26, tending to both the roulette and blackjack tables with a the poker table here and there. Nicole mentions how she would notice roulette players “spacing out” when playing in an attempt to remember previous games in order to have the best chance at winning their next wager. Nicole also touches on players memorizing what cards would be pulled in blackjack in order to strategize if they would hit or stand, along with groups at a time strategically sitting at specific spots at the table in order maximize their chances. I asked Nicole her experience in casinos and if she had ever used any of the aforementioned strategies, to which she replied she did not participate in table games, but rather slots, remarking that her strategy was mostly luck.
